Adam and I drove up Mauna Kea to the observatories. We took Cindys truck, since 4-wheel drive is mandatory to go past the visitor center.

We then took a short hike to lake Waiau. The altitude made the walk a lot more challenging than one would expect.

On the way down we decided to drive up Mauna Loa road, since Adam heard it was open again after the 2022 eruptions.
